Ing. Dalibor Gregor
Dalibor Gregor is a photographer of animals in general, and horses in particular. In the past few years he has put on numerous public exhibitions in this line. His photographs were featured at the exhibitions “Lipizzaners – My Love”, “Lipizzaner – the Horse of Kings and the King of Horses”, “The Beauty of French Horses from Camargue, the Charm of Provence”, “Parforse Hunting”, “The Beauty of the English Thoroughbred from Napajedla”, and “The Nobleness of the Horse”.
He has released several successful books in the Czech Republic and abroad. Chief among them were “The Friesian Horse – A Black Pearl” with texts Hana Herčíková, “Lipicáni – Lipizzaners”, “My Year with Horses” narrated by actor Václav Vydra, “Kingdom of the Horse” narrated by stage icon Bolek Polívka, “The Beauty of the Horses from Camargue – A Journey to the Childhood Landscape of Chantal Poullain” with texts by Chantal Poullain and J.M. Krnínský, “The Magic of Parforse Hunting” narrated by Václav Vydra and Horst Richter, “Colts” and “When Colts Grow Up” with texts by Stanislav Hošák, “Quotes on Horses and Love”, “Learn and Paint”, “What the Colts Say”, “Edition animals babies” and other books by this author.
Lovers of animals know Gregor’s photography from dozens of calendars and hundreds of postcards picturing animals.
His CZECH LIPIZZAN EXPEDITION 2007 was designed to explore the Lipizzaner as one of the oldest cultural horse breeds of Europe. It provided the basis for his book, “Lipicáni – Lipizzaners”.
The FRIESIAN HORSE PHOTO TOUR 2008/2009 resulted in his latest book, “The Friesian Horse – A Black Pearl”.
In 2009, Dalibor Gregor became the official photographer of the German formation, The Baltic Quadrille (Die Ostsee-Quadrille).
His credo: “The nobleness and beauty of the horse makes one start thinking about oneself.”
